Job Summary: This part-time position works under the direction of the Children’s Minister and the Childcare Coordinator to provide support for the Creek Kids Children’s Ministry team, primarily during Wednesday night programming. Creek Kids Childcare staff ensure the safety of all children in their care and will teach children in their assigned classroom about the Bible following the provided weekly lesson plan. Children served range in age from 1 year old through 5th grade. Age preferences are considered when staffing classrooms; however, staff is asked to be flexible to ensure all services are able to be provided consistently.

Qualifications/ Personal Skills:

Must be available to work year-round on Wednesday nights.
A love for Jesus Christ and desire to share the Bible with children.
A public witness in line with biblical values (including on social media).
Alignment with the philosophy, values and beliefs of Creekside Church.
A love for children and a servant-leadership mentality.
Willing to invest in the lives of the children at Creekside and truly develop a relationship with them.
A willingness to partner with parents, coworkers, and leadership team.
Teachable/eager to learn and serve.
An encouraging and positive attitude.
Able to lead with enthusiasm and passion for Children’s Ministry.
Creative and willing to adapt to change.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
Prior experience working with children preferred but not required.
Experience working with special needs preferred.
Must be willing to submit to background check & drug screening.

Schedule: 2-4 hours per week (Wednesday Nights - 6pm Start) with opportunities to work Special Events

Pay: $12-14/hr

Starting Day: ASAP

Hours can vary depending upon the needs of that particular week and taking into account special events, etc. Eligible candidates must be available to work Wednesday nights throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist weekly with set-up, execution, and clean up for Creek Kids Wednesday PM programming.
Present lessons (if assigned) with enthusiasm to keep children engaged and interested.
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, storytelling, and playtime.
Adapt assigned lessons as needed to ensure primary themes are taught and understood.
Attend meetings at the beginning and end of shift to ensure all needs are being met and open communication is maintained between leadership and coworkers.
Collaborate with other childcare workers and volunteers to create a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by maintaining a secure and clean environment and checking for food allergies during snack time.
Adhere to church policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Attend training sessions as required.
