Freedom Village Church is currently seeking a passionate and gifted Part-Time Worship Leader to join our ministry team.
We are a growing, multi-cultural and multi-generational church with approximately 250 people in worship each Sunday morning. We are looking for someone who understands that leading worship is more than singing songs—it is shepherding people into the presence of God.
The ideal candidate will have a strong and growing walk with the Lord, a heart for people, and the ability to lead a diverse congregation in authentic, Spirit-filled worship. This individual should be comfortable leading vocally and spiritually while also possessing the leadership and administrative skills necessary to build, organize, and develop a healthy worship ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead worship during Sunday morning services and other assigned church gatherings.
- Spend time in prayer and spiritual preparation for each worship experience.
- Select and prepare worship sets that align with the vision, culture, and message of Freedom Village Church.
- Recruit, develop, and lead worship team members, including vocalists and musicians.
- Conduct rehearsals and ensure team members are spiritually and musically prepared.
- Help create an atmosphere where people of different ages, backgrounds, and cultures can connect with God through worship.
- Work closely with the Lead Pastor, Media Team, and other ministry leaders to plan and execute worship experiences with excellence.
- Use Planning Center or other church systems to organize worship schedules, communicate with team members, and manage service details.
- Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills, including timely communication, scheduling, and preparation.
- Help identify, mentor, and develop future worship leaders and team members.
- Participate in staff meetings, leadership development, and other ministry gatherings as assigned.
- Support the overall mission and vision of Freedom Village Church: To Know Christ and to Make Christ Known.
Qualifications

- Has a clear and evident relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrates spiritual maturity.
- Has a genuine heart for worship and a passion for helping others encounter God.
- Is a strong vocalist and confident worship leader.
- Can lead both musically and spiritually in a live worship environment.
- Has the ability to lead and develop volunteers with grace, accountability, and encouragement.
- Possesses strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.
- Is organized, dependable, teachable, and committed to excellence.
- Understands how to minister effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-generational environment.
- Is comfortable working as part of a team and receiving direction and feedback.
- Understands that ministry requires both skill and servanthood.
This is a part-time position, but we are looking for someone who will approach the opportunity as more than simply a job. This is ministry. We believe that worship leaders have the privilege and responsibility of helping create an environment where people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and respond to the presence of God.
