Lead Vocalist

Part-Time | First Baptist Church of Lancaster | Lancaster, TX

Pay: $150–$250 per week

Based on experience, responsibilities, and availability

About the Role

First Baptist Church of Lancaster is seeking a skilled and dependable Lead Vocalist to serve with our worship ministry. This person will work under the direction of the Worship Director, help lead Christ-centered worship, and support the vocal team during rehearsals, Sunday services, Worship Nights, and other scheduled ministry events.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead assigned songs and provide strong harmony vocals when needed

Work closely with the Worship Director on song arrangements, keys, transitions, and service flow

Attend scheduled rehearsals, sound checks, Sunday services, Worship Nights, and special events

Prepare assigned music before rehearsal and communicate availability promptly

Support a worship environment that is spiritually focused, welcoming, and team-centered

Stay coachable and easy to direct, musically and in ministry

Qualifications

A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for worship ministry

Strong lead and harmony vocal ability

Experience singing contemporary worship music; gospel experience is a plus

Ability to learn music, follow direction, and work well with the Worship Director and team

Dependable, prepared, punctual, and comfortable serving in a multicultural and multigenerational church

Compensation and Schedule

Pay is $150–$250 per week, based on experience, responsibilities, and availability. The schedule includes Sunday services, one regular rehearsal, and additional events as scheduled.
