POSITION OVERVIEW
The Storehouse Kids Ministry Lead Teacher role is a semester-based, paid ministry development opportunity for anyone who feels called to serve in children's ministry. This role is designed to grow leaders from the inside out, combining hands-on teaching experience with spiritual formation, mentorship from the Children's Pastor, and real-world ministry leadership.
The Lead Teacher will serve in a classroom on their scheduled Sunday, fully understanding and prepared to teach and lead the lesson and the room. They will help steward the mission and culture of Storehouse Kids. This is more than a teaching position, it's an invitation to be shaped as a leader while shaping the next generation.

COMPENSATION $45 per Sunday
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN & GAIN

- Ministry Leadership: Help lead a classroom and the volunteer(s) serving alongside you in a real, active ministry environment.
- Spiritual Formation: Deepen your prayer life, grow in hearing God's voice, and learn to lead from a place of intimacy with the Lord.
- Teaching & Coordination Skills: Gain firsthand experience preparing and delivering a lesson, and coordinating with the volunteer(s) in your room.
- Mentorship: Receive regular one-on-one investment from the Children's Pastor, including feedback, vision-casting, and personal development.
- Team Culture: Learn how to lead and serve alongside a volunteer team with excellence and love.
- Child Safety & Pastoral Care: Develop competency in child protection protocols and family ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Agrees with and pursues Storehouse's Mission, Vision, Values, and Beliefs.
- Has a deep connection to the prayer room and listens, watches, or attends one prayer set a week.
- Has an intimate relationship with the Lord through prayer and worship and intercedes for Storehouse children and families.
- Has served in Storehouse Kids diligently and regularly.
- Has a genuine love and passion for the children and families at Storehouse.
- Signs the Storehouse Plumb Line (code of conduct).
- Has completed (or is willing to complete) the 4-Step Safety System:
- - Sexual Abuse Awareness Training
- - Screening Process
- - Policies and Procedures Review
- - Criminal Background Check
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching Preparation (On Your Own Time)
- Review the lesson ahead of your scheduled Sunday: understand what was taught the previous week, the overall lesson topic, and the teaching plan provided by the Children's Pastor.
- Come equipped and ready to teach. All materials and the lesson plan are provided in advance; it is the Lead Teacher's responsibility to fully understand them and be prepared to deliver the lesson.
- Ask questions in advance if anything about the lesson or plan is unclear.
Sunday Operations
- Arrive by 9:45 AM on your scheduled Sunday to pick up your lesson materials and check in with the Children's Pastor.
- Check your classroom's supplies when you arrive and confirm you have everything you need before children arrive.
- Communicate clearly with the volunteer(s) serving alongside you, and lead them well for the morning.
Semester Training
- Attend one required training and vision meeting with the Children's Pastor each semester.
Family Communication
- Relay to parents what their child was taught in the classroom that day.

- Reliability & Communication: Consistency in showing up prepared for your scheduled Sunday and semester training. Days unavailable must be communicated two weeks in advance.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
Schedule
- Semester-based commitment (renewable each semester based on mutual fit and ministry needs).
- Onsite only for your scheduled teaching Sunday(s) and the once-per-semester training/vision meeting with the Children's Pastor.
- Arrive by 9:45 AM on your scheduled Sunday to receive lesson materials and check in with the Children's Pastor.
- Lesson preparation is done independently, on your own time, using materials provided in advance.
- Communicate unavailable dates at least two weeks in advance.
