Position Overview
The Toddler Teacher leads a classroom of children ages 18–36 months, providing a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Teachers actively guide children’s development through routines, play-based learning, and intentional teaching aligned with the Circle Curriculum.
This role requires teachers who are organized, attentive, dependable, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Learning
- Implement daily lesson plans aligned with the CLI Engage Circle Curriculum
- Lead structured activities such as circle time, literacy activities, sensory play, art, and music
- Support development of language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Encourage independence and early self-help skills
Classroom Leadership
- Maintain consistent routines that provide structure for toddlers
- Guide children through transitions, activities, and cooperative play
- Foster a positive classroom environment where children feel safe and engaged
Active Supervision & Safety
- Maintain constant active supervision of all children
- Follow all Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
- Ensure classroom safety during meals, diapering, rest time, and outdoor play
Classroom Environment
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom with developmentally appropriate learning centers
- Prepare classroom materials and reset learning areas daily
Communication & Team Collaboration
- Communicate professionally with families regarding children’s daily experiences
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and administrative staff
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development trainings
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements
Preferred
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $30,000 – $40,000 per year (based on experience)

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
