Position Summary:

Provides support for the Kids’ Choir at Prestonwood Baptist Church – Plano Campus (“PBC-PC”).

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance prior to and during choir rehearsals
Recruit volunteers and assign weekly tasks
Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
Create curriculum
Set up classrooms
Direct large group rehearsals and semester concerts
Coordinate with appropriate church staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
Assist with Worship special events
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as a member of PBC
Prior experience in Children’s ministry
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Team player
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work Wednesday evenings with flexibility to work during the weekdays
Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance
