St. Paul Christian Academy is a faith-based childcare center seeking dedicated, dependable, and nurturing individuals to join our team. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Open Positions
- Cook
- 2-Year-Old Classroom Teacher
- 3-Year-Old Classroom Teacher
- After-School Teacher
Employment Type: Part-Time & Full-Time
Pay: $10–$12 per hour (based on experience and flexibility)
Position Duties
Cook – Childcare Center
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with CACFP guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Track food inventory and notify administration of supply needs
- Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Ensure meals are served on schedule
Qualifications:
- Experience cooking in a childcare or school setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to work independently
- Background check required
- Food Handler's License
2-Year-Old Classroom Teacher
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
- Supervise children at all times
- Assist with diapering, potty training, and daily routines
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Communicate effectively with parents and administration
- Support the Christian values and mission of the center
Qualifications:
- Experience working with toddlers preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
3-Year-Old Classroom Teacher
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
- Support early learning skills (social-emotional, language, cognitive, and motor development)
- Manage classroom routines and transitions
- Maintain daily communication with parents
- Observe and document children’s progress
- Follow licensing regulations and center policies
- Model positive behavior and Christian values
Qualifications:
- Experience in early childhood education preferred
- Effective classroom management skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
After-School Teacher
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise school-age children after school hours
- Assist with homework and academic support as needed
- Plan and lead structured activities, games, and enrichment projects
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment
- Manage behavior using positive guidance strategies
- Communicate with parents and administration
- Ensure children are properly signed in and out
Qualifications:
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Ability to manage groups and maintain structure
- Dependable and energetic
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
