Summary
As an Before and After Day Program Coordinator at Soaring Eagle Center, you will provide adults with special needs appropriate safe activities and experiences as they gear up for and wind down from participation in the day program. You will also enable participants to develop emotional and social growth through interaction with peers and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety
- Direct 10 adults (age range 18+) with special needs in a classroom setting
- Interact with adults with special needs through conversations and provide a safe environment.
- Teach socially acceptable behavior skills, employing behavior modification and positive reinforcement.
- Manage guidelines for acceptable behavior and ensure successful adherence.
- Administration
- Able to coordinate with a team of teachers
- Maintain daily reports and other required documentation
- Comply with the Center's routines and regulations
- Comply with policies established by Federal and State laws, Texas Department of Health and Human Services, and board policy
- Participate in professional developmental activities to improve skills related to job assignment.
