Location: First Baptist Church Lancaster, TX

Hours: 25–30 hours per week

Reports to: Senior Pastor

About the Role

We are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director who loves Jesus, loves kids, and has a passion for seeing families grow in faith. This position leads all children’s ministries from birth through 5th grade and plays a vital role in shaping the next generation through engaging, Bible-based discipleship.

Key Responsibilities

Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all children’s ministries (Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary).
Develop and implement a revitalized ministry strategy that connects with today’s families.
Recruit, train, and equip a diverse team of volunteers.
Partner with parents as the primary faith influencers in their children’s lives.
Lead weekly programming that includes worship, teaching, and small groups.
Plan creative community outreach events (VBS, festivals, family nights, etc.).
Create safe, joyful spaces where children encounter God’s love.
Manage ministry budgets, safety policies, and volunteer systems.

Qualifications

A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Experience leading or serving in children’s ministry (volunteer or staff).
Passionate about reaching and discipling children and families.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Culturally aware and able to minister in a diverse, multigenerational setting.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Commitment: Part-time (25–30 hours per week).
