The Praise & Worship Intern will assist in creating an atmosphere where people can encounter the presence of God through worship. This role is both developmental and practical — designed to grow worship leaders in character, competency, and calling. The intern will serve alongside the worship team, learning the spiritual and technical aspects of leading worship while supporting weekly services, rehearsals, and creative projects.
1. Worship Leadership & Support
- Assist in leading worship during Sunday services, midweek gatherings, and special events.
- Help prepare set lists, chord charts, and lyric slides in collaboration with the Worship Pastor.
- Participate in weekly rehearsals and team devotionals.
- Develop confidence and spiritual authority in leading the congregation in worship.
2. Team Development & Administration
- Support team communication and scheduling through Planning Center or similar tools.
- Help with volunteer onboarding, rehearsal setup, and stage preparation.
- Maintain instruments, microphones, cables, and sound equipment as needed.
3. Creative Arts & Production
- Assist with sound, lighting, and media operations during services.
- Collaborate with creative teams on special worship moments, videos, or events.
- Learn about the flow of service, transitions, and how to build engagement through excellence.
