JOB TITLE: Nursery Employee
REPORTS TO: Director of Children’s Ministry
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
· Agree with and to follow the Policies and Procedures of the Children’s Ministry of Grace Temple Baptist Church.
· Have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
· Agree with Grace Temple Baptist Church’s Statement of Faith.
· Have manifested a love for young children.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The Nursery Employee is responsible for caring for and teaching children ages birth through five years during Sunday morning and Wednesday night services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
· Degree in Education, Child Development, Children’s Ministry, or related field preferred.
· 1-3 years of experience in childcare or similar role.
Skills
· Effective spoken communication skills.
· Ability to connect with children and their families by creating a safe and welcoming environment.
· Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
· Collaboratively work within a team environment.
· Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Arrive in prompt and timely manner.
· Receive and care for children in his/her charge.
· Maintain a sanitary and orderly work area.
· Disinfect toys and beds after each use.
· Teach curriculum to children attending.
· Maintain a positive and caring attitude for both parents and children.
· Follow parental instructions given for care of children.
· Return all toys and equipment to their proper place at the end of the session.
WORK SCHEDULE:
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (or when last child is collected) on Sundays.
6:00pm to 8:30 p.m. (or when last child is collected) on Wednesdays.
WORK LOCATION:
This position is located at 831 W. Tenth St., Dallas, TX 75208 in Oak Cliff near the Bishop Arts District.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
