The Early Christian Church is a Non-Denominational Christian Church, with a church doctrine being somewhere in the middle of a Baptist and Pentecostal although leaning more Pentecostal. We are affiliated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance (cmalliance.org). We are a new SMALL church plant that started as a home church, and we recently rented space in a building being used by another church, although we have our own space. We are evangelistic and somewhat charismatic, but we are also very much grounded in the word of God. We believe in walking in holiness and righteousness and that all the spiritual gifts are for today. We are also very conservative and very much about getting back to basic biblical Christianity, as we see in the Book of Acts. We are not trying to reinvent Christian church doctrine, and nor are we trying to put a new spin on theology. The only church we want to model is the Early Christian Church that Jesus Christ and the Apostles started. Our church is led by a small board of Elders and the Pastor. Description of position.
The position we are looking to fill is a VOLUNTARY position only, WITHOUT PAY, and so this is a NON-PAID POSITION. There is NO PAY and NO BENEFITS. However, as the church grows, and can afford to, this may turn into a paid position, but there are NO PROMISES.
We are looking for a worship leader who can sing and play the guitar or keyboard. It would be helpful and preferred if you have some of your own equipment needed such as amplifier, and microphone, although we do have 1 speaker, 2 microphones, a mic stand, and a music stand. You will need to be able to sing many of the modern and some older contemporary Christian worship songs each and every Sunday morning during church. You will need to play and sing four Christian worship songs in the beginning and one song at the end.
Requirements for the position:
We are looking for someone who will be committed to serve and play every Sunday morning and perhaps at special events like church picnic revivals once and a while on a Saturday or special holidays. We are also looking for someone who will be committed and be with the church for a long time.
Other qualifications include:
You must be a born again believer in Jesus Christ, having a saving relationship with Jesus, and a mature faith, and repented of your sins, and you must agree to our statement of faith and church doctrine concerning sin and salvation and who God is according to the Holy Bible. You must believe in the traditional Christian values concerning life in the womb, and biblical marriage, Jesus being the only way to heaven, and the Holy Trinity, where God is one, but expressed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You must have at least 1 year experience serving in a Christian church worship service or as a worship leader. You must be able to play guitar or keyboard. Experience may be waved if other qualifications are met and you are a good fit.
If you have a degree in music or seminary degree, all the better, but it is not required.
We want someone who is charismatic and can prepare and lead the congregation into a Spirit filled worship, of God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We like to have order in the church while at the same time we want the move of the Holy Spirit and His presence is welcome.
We want someone who is evangelistic and wants to join in the vision and endeavor of bringing Christian revival and repentance to Grand Prairie, TX and to the DFW area.
We need someone who has a strong prayer life and a regular routine of studying the Word of God or Holy Bible.
We need someone who believes in Free Will, and in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, as well as all the Spiritual Gifts being for today, but not everyone is expected to have any particular spiritual gift, such as speaking in tongues.

There will be an interview and audition process, and the best person will be selected based on talent and qualifications. If no one meets the qualifications then no one will be chosen.
