The Opportunity
We are seeking a Kids Ministry Director who is ready to lead and grow a thriving ministry
serving over 250 children each week, while developing and empowering a team of 150
volunteers.
This role is an opportunity to shape how children experience God during their most formative
years and create environments where kids are excited to come to church, families feel
supported, and lives are being transformed.
You’ll work closely with the Pastor of Family Ministries while playing a key role in shaping the
vision, health, and growth of Kids Ministry at Embassy City Church.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ministry Leadership
- Lead and shape the vision and strategy for Kids Ministry in alignment with ECC’s
mission
- Build, develop, and care for a thriving team of staff and volunteers
- Create a culture that is welcoming, safe, engaging, and spiritually healthy
- Partner with the Pastor of Family Ministries to continually strengthen and grow the
ministry
2. Team & Volunteer Development
- Recruit, train, and retain a strong volunteer base
- Develop leaders within the ministry and create clear pathways for growth
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and encouragement to team members
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration
3. Family Engagement
- Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influence in their child’s life
- Create clear and consistent communication with families
- Help cultivate a sense of belonging for every family connected to ECC
4. Ministry Environments & Programming
- Oversee all Kids Ministry environments from birth through elementary
- Ensure weekend experiences are engaging, organized, and impactful
- Lead the selection, implementation, and/or development of curriculum
- Collaborate with other ministries to support church-wide events and initiatives
5. Operations & Systems
- Ensure safe, secure, and well-organized ministry environments
- Oversee scheduling, volunteer coordination, and ministry systems
- Manage Kids Ministry budget and resources with excellence
- Establish and track key metrics to evaluate ministry health and growth

Church
Qualifications include:
Required:
- 3+ years of leadership experience in Kids Ministry or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proven track record of leadership, integrity, character, and follow-through
- Demonstrated faith and commitment to God, and family.
Spiritual and Cultural Expectations
- Must agree with, support, and live in alignment with Embassy City Church’s Statement of Faith.
- Must be or become a member of Embassy City Church within a month of employment.
- Attend at least one service weekly.
- Demonstrate a vibrant and growing relationship with Christ.
- Model Embassy City’s core values in both attitude and execution.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting and lifting up to 20 pounds or more as needed to fulfill job duties and requirements.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
