Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced, highly qualified, and passionate educator to lead our Kinder Readiness classroom for 5-year-old students. The successful candidate will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that prepares children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction that promotes kindergarten readiness in literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development, and school readiness skills.
- Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Board policies, and administrative regulations.
- Create and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
- Establish efficient classroom management procedures that support student learning and development.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and readiness.
- Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to support educational excellence.
- Maintain accurate records and fulfill all professional responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Participate in professional development and remain current with best practices in education.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), with required endorsements appropriate for the assignment.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, specifically in Kindergarten through 5th Grade (K–5).
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices.
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine professional duties and follow established procedures with minimal supervision.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten, or Kinder Readiness programs.
- Experience with early literacy instruction, phonological awareness, and foundational mathematics skills.
