CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER STAFF
We are looking for passionate individuals to provide a nurturing Christian environment in which every child in our care can grow and develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Teachers partner with families, fellow staff, and church leadership to provide high-quality early childhood education that reflects the mission and values of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood best practices and program standards
- Foster a loving classroom community where each child feels known, valued, and encouraged
- Integrate Biblical truths, prayer, and faith-based conversations into daily routines in age-appropriate ways
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Support children in developing early academic skills, social-emotional skills, and independence
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about classroom events, student progress, and concerns
- Complete required documentations, assessments, and reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate with coworkers and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events
- Adhere to all program policies and state licensing standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian values and teaching
- Experience working with young children in a school, church, or childcare setting
- Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere using patience, compassion, and classroom management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High School diploma, GED or higher
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move around the classroom and playground as needed
