Children’s Ministry, Part Time, On Site
Position Overview
The Kingdom Kids Creative Director is responsible for designing, leading, and executing a dynamic, engaging, and spiritually grounded children’s ministry experience. This role oversees curriculum, creative programming, worship arts, volunteer support, and family engagement, ensuring children encounter Jesus in a safe, age appropriate, and joyful environment.
This position blends ministry leadership, creativity, and organization and serves as the visionary and operational lead for Kingdom Kids programming.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Creative Leadership
- Plan, organize, and implement age appropriate biblical curriculum aligned with the church’s vision
- Develop engaging teaching experiences through storytelling, visuals, worship, games, and interactive activities
- Manage curriculum materials and creative resources
Media & Family Engagement
- Oversee midweek children’s ministry content including videos, graphics, and digital tools
- Partner with communications or media teams to engage families beyond Sunday
- Communicate curriculum themes, events, and resources to parents
Worship, Choir, Dance & Drama Ministries
- Lead and coordinate children’s worship experiences
- Oversee children’s choir, dance, and drama teams
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers serving in worship and creative arts
Seasonal Productions & Special Events
- Plan and execute children’s ministry components for Easter, Christmas, and special events
- Coordinate rehearsals, schedules, costumes, props, and stage needs
Supplies, Incentives & Volunteer Support
- Manage classroom supplies, incentives, and ministry resources
- Prepare lesson materials and creative tools for volunteers
- Support volunteer engagement, scheduling, and appreciation
Operations & Safety
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming ministry environment
- Ensure child safety policies and check in procedures are followed
- Track attendance and assist with ministry reporting
Schedule & Commitment
- On Site Thursdays: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- On Site Sundays: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Additional preparation time as needed for special events and productions
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Christ with a heart for children
- Experience working with children in a church, school, or nonprofit setting
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Creative thinker with the ability to engage children across multiple learning styles
- Ability to lead and support volunteers
- Background check required
