Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the preschool education of children, providing a Christian learning environment with opportunities for children to grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
The Teacher reports directly to the Director of the program.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive at 8:30 to perform designated duties before students arrive
- Implement the planned curriculum, providing children with help as needed
- Treat each child with dignity and respect
- Aid students with daily needs (bathroom, washing hands, lunch)
- Be a Christian example for students to respect
- Teach children social skills (respecting others)
- Leave the classroom in order with all equipment and materials put away neatly
- Report all needed repairs, supplies, and equipment
- Treat each child with dignity and respect
- Help children develop a positive self-esteem and to become aware of their role as a part of a group
- Plan age-appropriate, creative activities for children
- Communicate effectively with director, aides, parents, and children
- Provide daily progress notes for parents
- Attend staff meetings and in-services
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director.

Education Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalency is required, college coursework is preferred.
- Must be certified in first aid and infant/child CPR and remain current while employed
- Must complete 24 hours of in-service training each year related to early childhood education
All candidates must be at least 21 years of age and pass a bi-annual criminal background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
