The purpose of the Kids Ministry Associate position is to support and collaborate with the Children’s Minister in planning, organizing, and leading ministry efforts for Kid Min (first through fifth grade) families.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the face of Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, and Wednesday evening Kid Min programming activities.
Provide regular monthly communication to Kid Min families via phone, text, and written correspondence.
Responsible for ordering, preparing, and distributing curriculum and supplies for all weekly Kid Min activities, including gathering and organizing materials for Wonder Zone (Special Needs) Sunday School lessons.
Collaborate with Children’s Minister to plan Kids Camp and recruit volunteers.
Prepare for VBS in collaboration with the Children’s Ministry team by recruiting volunteers and ordering supplies and curriculum.
Responsible for organizing and executing Kids Beach Club (Gospel- centered ministry within the public schools) activities.
Serve as the primary leader for the Wonder Zone (Special Needs) Ministry and oversee the recruitment of volunteers.
Responsible for executing administrative tasks for the Women’s Ministry as directed by the Children’s Minister.
Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and volunteers regarding planning and decisions for Sunday afternoon Kid Min activities.
Support overall operations by maintaining Kid Min resource room organization.
Ensure that first-time guest gifts are adequately stocked.
Prepare weekly Just for Kids Bulletins.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Evidence of strong Christian character
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and Canva
Strong organizational, relational, and written and oral communication skills
Flexibility to work weekends as ministry needs require.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma required; some college and/or child development or ministry experience preferred
Three to five years of child development or ministry experience, with proven adaptability and flexibility
Experience in Special Education preferred

Pay: $15.38 - $20.00 per hour
