SUMMARY
UD is currently seeking a Coordinator for Clergy Programming, who will be a leader who is passionate about improving preaching in the Catholic Church. This position will assist the Executive Director by managing the clergy programming component(s) of the Institute and in other roles as needed. This Catholic priest or deacon will serve as a liaison between the Institute and the dioceses that we serve, including the Diocese of Dallas, to promote and administer those interactions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate the Preaching for Encounter Program, including but not limited to, helping with recruiting, managing events, and regularly communicating with coaches and conveners and participants. Travel to observe peer groups and for retreats.
· Coordinate the Lilly-funded Young Adult conversation groups, including getting them together, managing transportation, lodging, etc.
· Manage various funding streams for the Institute. Creation of annual budget for the advisory board and communication with the University of Dallas Office of Finance for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
· Serve as liaison to the dioceses that we serve, and regularly manage those relationships, e.g bishops, vicars for clergy, deacon directors, diocesan offices, etc.
· Regularly coordinate with the Institute team.
· Participate in ongoing preaching formation with the opportunity to attend preaching conferences and other formational events.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Institute of Homiletics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Ordained five years or more with a working knowledge of Catholic organizational structure and ways of operating.
· Training in homiletics.
· Program management skills with a close eye for administrative and budgetary detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Catholic priest or deacon.

· Funding for furthering education in preaching is a possibility.
