Preschool Curriculum Coordinator
The Preschool Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming, spiritually engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children (birth through pre-K). This role oversees the weekly curriculum and media preparation, for Sunday services, and serves as a relational support system for both our volunteer teams and church families.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Content Management
- Adapt & Edit: Modify and adapt the churchs curriculum to fit the specific developmental needs and attention spans of different age groups: toddlers, twos, and three/four-year-olds.
- Graphic Editing: Create, edit, and format visually engaging lesson plans, activity sheets, and curriculum resources using Adobe software
- Media Setup: Program, test, and organize weekly slides, worship songs, and lesson videos into ProPresenter to ensure smooth tech execution during large group times.
- Resource Prep: Ensure all necessary crafts, supplies, and printed materials are prepared, organized, and ready for classroom use in a timely manner.
Sunday Mornings & Event Hosting
- Sunday Leadership: Be present in the preschool hallways during Sunday services, ensuring classrooms run safely, smoothly, and with high energy.
- Event Hostess: Assist in planning and coordinating, church events (e.g., VBS, seasonal family gatherings, parent dedications, or holiday celebrations).
- Environment Setup: Ensure that check-in stations, classrooms, and gathering spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for both regular attenders and first-time guests.
Volunteer & Family Support
- Volunteer Care: Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders. Provide them with the training and materials they need to confidently teach and lead our youngest learners.
- Family Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with parents and families, offering consistent communication and support to help them disciple their children at home.
- Pastoral Care: Pray for children and their families regularly, and serve as a gracious, helpful point of contact for any parent concerns or questions.
RELATIONSHIPS
Executive Pastor of Ministries: The Executive Pastor of Ministries oversees the Preschool Ministry, and the Preschool team. Occasionally the position will receive task and instruction from the Executive Pastor of Ministry. The Preschool Curriculum Coordinator is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to The Executive Pastor of Ministries.
Preschool Minister: The position will report directly to the Preschool Minister. He/she will receive tasks from the Preschool Minister and is expected to be coachable, available, and responsive to him.
Preschool Administrative Assistant: The Preschool Curriculum Coordinator works hand-in-hand with the Preschool Administrative Assistant and the broader preschool team. Together, they create a seamless, welcoming, and organized environment across all early childhood ministries
The Heights Staff: Collaborate with other members of The Heights and student staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
Volunteer Teams: Preschool Curriculum Coordiantor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with volunteer team members, envisioning, equipping, and empowering them to make the greatest kingdom impact possible.
