PURPOSE: The purpose of the Family Minister is to lead a dynamic, engaging and effective family ministry team. Our Family Ministry team includes Kid's Ministry and Student Ministry. Rush Creek is a multi-site church and currently has 5 campuses. The Family Minister is a part-time central role that oversees family ministries and focues on team alignment, coaching and strategy across all campuses.
CENTRAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create and catalyze long-term strategies for family ministry that align with families and our growth pathway.
• Equip and engage parents to become the primary faith leaders in their kids's and student's lives via training and resources.
• Help staff to align volunteers with our family ministry direction.
• Lead the family ministry team to pursue excellence and healthy culture through weekly meetings, coaching, clarity, 1:1 meetings and onboarding new staff members.
• Oversee annual budget, spending and receipt approvals for all campuses.
• Set reasonable schedules and approved time away for the family ministry team.
• Help set and manage annual goals through our strategic planning process.
• Keep family team informed of all necessary information in a timely manner.
• Work with Campus Pastors to align campus and family strategies.
PART TIME OVERVIEWOur all-campus days are at the Green Oaks Campus on Monday and Wednesdays. Most of the meetings and interactions will be on those two days. On occasion this role will attend specific campus meetings which are held on Thursdays. The expectations for Sunday would require a revolving campus visit as required. The estimated time required for this role is 20 hrs per week. The time will allocated accordingly to deliver on the responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: • A clear call to serve families in the context of the local church
• A follower of Jesus and have demonstrated faith through full immersion baptism
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is desired
• Five years of experience serving families on a church staff or in a related staff role
• Potential Sunday morning teaching team opportunities a plus
• Demonstrate a proven record of exhibiting the following skills and competencies:
- Ability to innovate and lead change
- Ability to hold teams accountable to pursuing excellence
- Ability to motivate and inspire people
CLASSIFICATION: CENTRAL ROLE/SALARY-EXEMPTREPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (under the Love People practice)Compensation: $38,000.00 per year
