Worship & Spiritual Formation Pastor
Full-Time | One Creation Church
Overview
The Worship & Spiritual Formation Pastor leads One Creation Church in two essential areas:
- Worship Ministry – cultivating environments where people authentically encounter God.
- Spiritual Formation Ministry – developing pathways and practices that help people grow into Christlikeness.
This role requires a spiritually mature leader who is relational, creative, multicultural in heart and practice, and committed to equipping others.
Core Responsibilities
1. Worship Ministry Leadership
- Lead and craft worship gatherings that invite the congregation into genuine engagement with God.
- Plan weekly worship services in collaboration with the Senior Pastor.
- Oversee all rehearsals and weekly worship activities.
- Cultivate a multicultural worship environment, integrating diverse expressions of worship.
- Train the worship team in understanding the opportunities and challenges of multicultural worship.
- Grow creativity around the many cultures present in One Creation Church.
- Provide consistent team care, morale support, and spiritual encouragement.
- Offer spiritual formation moments during every rehearsal.
- Recruit, equip, and mentor volunteers and future worship leaders.
- Steward the worship budget, team schedules, and ministry organization.
2. Spiritual Formation Ministry Leadership
- Drive the vision and direction of One Creation Church’s spiritual growth ministries.
- Implement the strategy for guiding people through the church’s four stages of spiritual growth.
- Develop and oversee ministries such as:
- Small groups
- Discipleship pathways
- Spiritual gifts development
- Recruit, train, and inspire leaders committed to long-term ministry impact.
- Foster strong team morale and relational connectedness.
- Provide advanced training for leaders to maximize their God-given potential.
- Steward the Spiritual Formation budget, team schedules, and ministry organization.
Qualifications
- A deep, personal relationship with Jesus and a life shaped by spiritual practices.
- Strong musical and worship leadership ability.
- A heart for multicultural ministry and diverse congregational expression.
- Experience with formal mentoring and spiritual formation processes.
- Ability to mentor volunteers and develop leaders.
- Strong communication, organization, and team-building skills.
