Cornerstone Coordinator
This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.
The Cornerstone Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the planning, execution, and administration of key Cornerstone initiatives while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture. The position proactively schedules and manages planning for major events and sermon series, maintains long-range calendars and assists budgets, oversees workflows for special projects in partnership with other teams. It also provides administrative support to the Director of Cornerstone through scheduling, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and congregant communication. As with all positions, this person is expected to embody the mission of HPUMC: to help people become deeply devoted followers of Christ.

Working Hours Full-time, 36 hours per week
Anticipated Schedule: Monday- Thursday from 8:30 – 5:00 (includes unpaid 30 min lunch); Sundays from 8:00 – 12:00.
During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Project Coordination
- Proactively schedules planning meetings for key events (e.g., Easter, Christmas, Fall Kickoff, Mother’s Day) to ensure timely ideation and execution.
- Maintains the Year Ahead Planner, including key dates like communion and baptisms.
- Oversees workflows for special projects such as Vision Sunday, Cornerstone Family Dinners, and Good Friday.
- Partners with Communications, Production, and Building Services to develop sermon series assets (schedule meetings, graphics, videos, set designs, etc.).
Administrative Support
- Supports the Director of Cornerstone with scheduling and communication needs.
- Assist Director of Cornerstone with Cornerstone Budget
- Coordinates and schedules team meetings.
- Prepares and manages weekly meeting agendas.
- Handles phone and email correspondence with congregants.
- Maintains a prayer request system in collaboration with Pastoral Care.
- Manages ordering & payment for Sunday morning green room breakfast
Building Team Culture
- Develops strong relationships with Cornerstone stakeholders to understand the how & why of our work.
- Contributes positively to Cornerstone team culture
Education and Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in project management with church or company events is preferred
- Proficient writing skills and proof editing
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and positive attitude
- High degree of initiative and accountability
- Strong organization skills
Preferred Software Experience:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- G Suite (Google, Gmail, Calendar, etc…)
- Other software utilized: Planning Center, Touchpoint, eSpace
