General Summary
The Kid Club Ministry Contractor provides leadership and program support for the church’s Kid Club Ministry on a contract basis. This role partners with church staff to plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate faith experiences for children while maintaining a safe, positive, and Christ-centered environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role is an individual contributor and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
Program Facilitation
- Plan and lead Kid Club sessions, including lessons, activities, games, and crafts
- Teach biblical principles in creative and age-appropriate ways
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all children
Support & Collaboration
- Coordinate with church staff to align Kid Club programming with ministry goals
- Provide guidance and direction to volunteers during Kid Club sessions
- Assist with special events such as seasonal programs, outreach events, or camps
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all church child safety policies and procedures
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct
- Promptly report any safety concerns or incidents to church leadership
Preparation & Administration
- Prepare lesson materials and activity supplies as outlined in the contract
- Track attendance or provide basic session summaries as requested
- Communicate scheduling needs and availability in advance
Contractor Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with children in a ministry, educational, or childcare setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with ministry leadership.
- Alignment with the church’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
- Willingness to complete background checks and child safety training.
Contract Terms
- Contractor determines method and approach to fulfilling agreed-upon responsibilities.
- Church provides program goals, schedules, and safety expectations.
- Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and related obligations.
- Contract length, hours, and compensation outlined in a separate agreement.

Physical Requirements
- An employee in this position is required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to interact with children, parents, staff, members, and volunteers.
- Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work. This position may be expected to work overtime.
- Availability during scheduled Kid Club programs and agreed-upon events.
- Ability to actively engage with children in a group setting.
Travel Requirements
A valid drivers’ license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
