Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Associate to join the Children’s Ministry team at Leaders Church. In this paid, classroom-leading role, you will provide nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children while creating a safe, structured, and welcoming environment. Your energy, professionalism, and childcare experience will help children explore, learn, and grow, while ensuring their well-being and safety are always prioritized. Key Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of children during church services and events
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes safety, trust, and curiosity
- Supervise and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities including playtime, arts and crafts, storytelling, and structured learning
- Support children’s emotional and social development using positive behavior management techniques
- Manage daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices (as age-appropriate)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times
- Monitor children closely and respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or concerns
- Adhere strictly to all child safety, check-in/check-out, and health protocols
- Communicate clearly with ministry leadership regarding classroom needs or concerns
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prior daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate care techniques
- Comfortable leading a classroom independently
- Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and leadership
- Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Alignment with the mission, values, and beliefs of Leaders Church
Schedule & Compensation
- Primarily Sundays (services and special events)
- Occasional midweek services or events
- Hourly pay or service-based stipend (based on experience)
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.72 - $24.95 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 per week
Work Location: In person
