The Children’s Director/Pastor leads our Culture Kids Ministry (birth through 5th grade) and plays a key role in forming the next generation of disciples.
This person will develop creative, Spirit-led environments that make the gospel accessible and exciting for children while equipping parents and volunteers to disciple at home.
You’ll lead a growing team of volunteers (approximately 35+ volunteer), oversee the Next Gen leadership team (five coordinators), and help ensure that everything we do in Kids Ministry reflects the mission and values of Christ Culture Church - Presence. Formation. Mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and oversee the Culture Kids ministry (Nursery, Preschool, Elementary).
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders and teachers who serve with passion and excellence.
- Create engaging, safe, and Spirit-filled environments for kids to encounter God and build lifelong faith.
- Partner with parents by providing tools, communication, and support for discipleship at home.
- Implement creative curriculum, events, and experiences that help kids grow in Christ and love His church.
- Work collaboratively with the Next Gen team to ensure a seamless discipleship pathway from Kids to Youth.
- Oversee systems for volunteer scheduling, family check-in, safety, and classroom management.
- Plan and execute major family and kids’ events (Easter, VBS, Mega Sports Camp, Family Sundays, etc.).
- Manage the annual Kids Ministry budget and resources with stewardship and vision alignment.
- Model the values of Christ Culture Church and help integrate the mission - Grow in Christ, Grow in Unity, Grow in Purpose, Grow in Scripture & Spirit, Grow in Mission, Grow in Generosity into every part of the ministry.
What We’re Looking For
- A Spirit-led, Jesus-centered leader with a deep love for kids and families.
- Minimum three years of ministry experience in a city or urban church context.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build teams, delegate effectively, and lead with both warmth and structure.
- Passion for creative teaching, worship, and age-appropriate discipleship.
- Emotionally mature, dependable, and flexible under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Children’s Ministry, Christian Education, or related field (or equivalent ministry experience).
- Alignment with the mission, theology, and culture of Christ Culture Church.
