Orphan Outreach is a Christian non-profit serving orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ by having a significant, long-term impact on orphaned and vulnerable children, equipping each child for a fulfilling, independent Christian life in their community.
We are looking for a Missions Coordinator to coordinate international mission trips to all countries served by Orphan Outreach. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and task-oriented, have strong project management skills, and experience in a deadline-driven environment. This individual will have strong relationship-building skills and possess the ability to work with team leaders, trip participants, and in-country staff as trips are coordinated and planned on behalf of each team.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Coordinate international mission trip logistics for Orphan Outreach:
- Develop mission trips in coordination with Orphan Outreach staff.
- Coordinate in-country trip logistics with international staff.
- Plan all trip itineraries and ministry activities in conjunction with Orphan Outreach program goals and needs.
- Provide guidance and direction on biblical content and curriculum that is used by teams on trips.
- Lead and facilitate in-person and virtual meetings with teams, preparing them before they travel.
- Manage online Missions Admin database and monitor financial records of trip participants.
- Recruit and train trip leaders and volunteers.
- Communicate with volunteer and mission interests.
- Assist with mission trip air travel and visas, when needed.
- Lead trips as needed.
- Assist with other Missions’ functions at the Orphan Outreach office.
Servant Leadership
- Assist the Missions staff in meeting deadlines for various tasks and projects as required.
- Participate in staff meetings, church events, and other opportunities.
- This position may require both domestic and international travel.
- Other duties as assigned to enhance the ministry of Orphan Outreach.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Requirements
- Must be a committed Christian; exhibit Christian principles and values. Involved in a local church and understands the role and value of the church as advocates for orphans.
- Have a clear understanding of and commitment to Orphan Outreach’s mission and vision.
- At least 3 years of work experience in project planning.
- Project management experience/training preferred
- Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must speak, read, and write English proficiently.

- Ability to carry out detailed oral and written instructions, answer phones, return phone calls and communicate in situations with some background noise.

- Must exhibit self-confident behaviors, secure with self and willing to give credit to others.
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally with valid passport and related paperwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other standard Microsoft Office software.
