Faithbridge Church is seeking a talented and passionate Church pianist/keyboardist to join our praise team. The ideal candidate will have a strong musical background, particularly in piano/keyboard, and a commitment to enhancing the worship experience through music. This role is vital in creating an uplifting atmosphere during services and special events, contributing to the spiritual growth of our congregation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Praise Team Leader to prepare for weekly services and special events.
- Play piano/keyboard during worship services, ensuring a cohesive sound with the band and vocalists.
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster a spirit of teamwork within the music ministry.
- Ensure all piano/keyboard equipment is properly maintained and set up before performances.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Candidate must love Jesus and seeks to grow spiritually in their Christian walk.
- Proficient in playing hymns, traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, anthems, and praise & worship songs.
- Proficient in playing piano/keyboard with a solid understanding of various musical styles, especially those relevant to church music.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other musicians and church staff.
- A passion for worship and a desire to contribute positively to the church community.
- Must have good organizational skills and a neat appearance.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect our Christian diverse population.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as but not limited to lifting heavy items up to 50lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing and walking.
