About Us:
Elevate Church started in 2008 as a new church plant in the northeast part of the Dallas Metro and now is home to about 250 people. Our Easter attendance was 433 worshippers. We currently have a staff of 5 pastors who serve either part-time or full-time. Our target audience is young families between 25-45 years of age (although we have all ages). We are a Spirit-filled church affiliated with the Assemblies of God. However, many of our attendees come from diverse religious backgrounds or none at all. We also have a bold vision to reach our community and world for Christ. Our website is www.MyElevateChurch.com
What makes us who we are?
Culture of Entrepreneurship
Since our inception, we have always been willing to try things that are new and “out of the box”. We think like church planters when it comes to experimenting with fresh ideas in order to reach people and make our church relevant to our community.
Culture of Reaching the Unreached and Unchurched
Our unique mission is to be a church for people who are unreached or unchurched. The average church in America is focused primarily on reaching the 40% of people who are church attenders. We are intentional about focusing on the 60% who aren’t. Matthew 9:13 “For I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.”
Culture of Teamwork
We believe passionately in doing church as a team; therefore, as a staff we work to not only to grow ourselves but to make each other better. We do this through authentic relationships. Our desire as leaders is to move from doer, to equipper, to multiplier. We teach our core values of Teamwork to every volunteer and leader. They include: Invitation (welcome new people), Connection (build relationships), Motivation (equip and encourage), Preparation (spirit of excellence), and Celebration (celebrate every win). We call them the High Fives of Teamwork. John 17:20-21 “My prayer is…that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you sent me.”
Culture of Personal and Ministry Growth
We believe that change and the Kingdom are linked. Wholeheartedly following Jesus means constantly and intentionally engaging change in our lives. Growth requires change. Things that are not growing are dead. Living a vibrant life with Christ means becoming more like Him continually. The moment we think we’ve arrived is the moment we start to die. Colossians 1:10 “Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”
Culture of Vulnerability and Transparency
When people begin to relate with us as a group, they tend to be taken back by the transparency of our relationships. We believe that living in the light includes making sure there are no hidden things that trick us into a false sense of righteousness. The first thing recorded in the Bible that God said was, “Let there be light” - God works in the light but the enemy works in the darkness. 1 John 1:7 “If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son purifies us from all sin.
