Who We Are
New Covenant Church is a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church in Central Texas with a passion for the Presence of God, prayer, worship, discipleship, and seeing lives transformed by Jesus.
We believe worship is more than music. Worship is the response of a people who love God and desire to know Him. Our desire is to cultivate a culture where people encounter God's Presence, grow in intimacy with Him, and are equipped to live as disciples of Jesus.
As a church, we are intentionally strengthening our culture of worship, prayer, and discipleship and are seeking a leader who is excited to help build and shape that culture for years to come.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Worship Pastor who will help cultivate a culture of worship, prayer, and the presence of God both within our worship ministry and throughout the life of the church.
This person will lead and develop worship leaders, musicians, and volunteers while working closely with our pastors and elders to help advance the vision and mission of New Covenant Church.
We are looking for someone who sees worship ministry as more than preparing songs for Sunday. We desire a leader who has a heart to pastor people, develop leaders, and help create environments where God's Presence is welcomed and valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for the worship ministry.
- Recruit, develop, and disciple worship leaders, musicians, and volunteers.
- Lead worship regularly and help develop additional worship leaders.
- Collaborate with church leadership in planning and executing services and special events.
- Foster unity, spiritual health, and growth within the worship ministry.
- Provide oversight of worship ministry systems, scheduling, and resources.
Qualifications
- Deep and growing relationship with Jesus.
- A lifestyle of worship, prayer, and personal devotion.
- Demonstrated leadership and relational skills.
- Ability to develop and disciple leaders.
- Musical proficiency and experience leading worship.
- Alignment with the vision, values, and beliefs of New Covenant Church.
- Humble, teachable, and team oriented.
What We're Looking For
We are less interested in finding someone to simply lead songs and more interested in finding someone who will help build a culture of worship and prayer throughout our church.
