Victory Church in Decatur, Texas is seeking a Full-Time Youth Pastor who's heart is to reach and teach students, develop a youth program, live a life of integrity, Holy Spirit filled, and a servant minded leader.
Objective:
• Navigate 9th-12th grade students to God by leading, preaching, teaching, promoting, and overseeing the spiritual formation and development of students and their families.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide direct leadership and oversight to all youth programming at Victory Church.
- Work collaboratively with Worship Team to plan and coordinate services in order to have the service been in full cohesion.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the youth team and work with senior leadership at Victory Church.
- Serve as the primary teacher, preacher, and content creator for youth environments casting the vision to reach students.
- Communicate effectively with parents about the student ministry vision.
- Be personally involved with the discipleship and mentoring of students.
- Develop and train adult + student leaders through a leadership program.
- Oversee Student ministry budget and steward Victory resources well.
- Develop and oversee a Next Steps plan to ensure students are welcomed and connected.
- Attend all required meetings at Victory Church (Staff and Team).
- Uphold Victory Church mission, core values, and mission statement.
- Every staff member is expected to fully engage in the ministry of the church. This includes attending weekend services, special events, and community outreaches.
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Regular Office Hours
9-4 Tuesday-Friday (Monday's Off)
Sunday mornings (9am&11am) and Wednesday Nights (7pm)

Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Student Ministry. (Could be volunteer)
- Must have a servants heart for ministry, serving with a positive attitude and spirit.
- Previous supervision experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of this position, which include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, and must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Practical and effective communication skills to communicate in writing and verbally with various audiences.
- Have a sound knowledge of Scripture and an ability to teach effectively and apply Scriptural principles in all areas of ministry.
- Microsoft Office products knowledge and experience.
- Planning Center products knowledge and experience.
- Social Media experience or knowledge is a huge plus.
- Be of moral and spiritual integrity in all areas of your walk and life.
