Job Overview
First Baptist Church Sachse is a small, portable church in the process of relocating. We are seeking a Worship Leader to guide and nurture our congregation’s spiritual growth through music and worship. This role involves planning and leading engaging worship services that foster an environment of reverence, community, and spiritual connection. The Worship Leader will work closely with church staff and volunteers to create a vibrant worship experience that aligns with the church’s mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Lead congregational worship during weekly services, special events, and prayer meetings with enthusiasm and authenticity.
- Select appropriate music and coordinate rehearsals with musicians and choir members to ensure seamless worship experiences.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation from all age groups and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to plan thematic elements of worship services that support sermon topics and church initiatives.
- Oversee the maintenance of musical equipment and resources, ensuring all tools are in good working order.
- Oversee set up and tear down of equipment.
- Cultivate a spirit of unity, reverence, and joy within the worship team and congregation alike.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading worship or similar leadership roles within a faith-based community.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff, volunteers, and congregation members.
- A genuine heart for ministry with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment of worship.
- Ability to select appropriate music that aligns with the church’s doctrinal beliefs and enhances the worship experience.
- Ability to play piano or guitar while leading is preferred.
- Able to manage time and tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
