Position Overview
The Worship Director is responsible for leading and developing the worship ministry of Weirton Alliance Church in a way that aligns with the church’s mission, culture, and theological values. This includes planning, coordinating, and leading worship services, cultivating a team of musicians, vocalists and tech team members, and creating an atmosphere that draws the congregation into authentic, Christ-centered worship.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Sunday worship services.
- Select and arrange worship music that aligns with sermon themes and seasonal rhythms.
- Engage the congregation and foster participation through spoken transitions, Scripture, and prayer.
- Recruit, audition, train, and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and tech team members.
- Schedule rehearsals and coordinate team availability.
- Provide spiritual encouragement and accountability to team members.
- Use worship planning software to organize services.
- Collaborate with the pastor and other ministry leaders on service flow and creative elements.
- Manage the worship equipment needs and media resources.
- Coordinate sound, lighting, lyrics/projection, and livestream needs.
- Ensure all equipment is functional and properly maintained.
- Help develop special services and creative elements.

Qualifications
- A growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Musical proficiency in at least one instrument and vocal ability.
- Leadership experience in a worship setting (volunteer or paid).
- Familiarity with worship technology (soundboards, ProPresenter, in-ear monitors).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- A heart for discipleship and team-building.
- Agreement with the church’s core beliefs and values.
