We are in need of a motivated, responsible individual who is confident with children. The successful candidate for this role will possess the ability to follow a schedule, and will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The ideal person for this job will have previous experience working with children and be able to do light lifting and should have patience with them.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and maintain a current Ministry Safe status (we will provide this).
When: Sundays from 9:15 am-12:30 pm and various other times throughout the year
Ages: Infants - 5 year olds
Responsibilities:
- Greet each parent and child when parents arrive
- Ask parents about any special instructions for their child (allergies, feeding time etc.)
- Provide care which includes: Feeding, diaper changing, maintaining a safe environment, interacting with the children through games, play, stories and crafts.
- Always wash hands prior to and after diaper changing
- Remain in assigned room until all children have been picked up by parents
- Communicate any joys or concerns regarding a child to their parent
- Be a positive role model for each child, sharing God’s love while in the care of the nursery
- Always use a calming voice
- Communicate any supply needs to Children’s Director
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 per week
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Required)
