Dallas Bible Church was started 35 years ago by a handful of families looking to establish a new non-denominational bible church that was, in its early days, focused on the traditional family unit. This group of believers created an environment characterized by heartfelt worship, teaching of the Word, and a strong emphasis on prayer.
In 1999, the church moved to its current location at the intersection of Hillcrest and Arapaho roads in North Dallas. The community surrounding DBC’s location is both multicultural and economically diverse, and these influences have changed the culture and ministries of the church in a very impactful way over time. Particularly during the past ten years, DBC has displayed a growing eagerness to reach the community around them by meeting needs with more of an outreach mindset. The church body can best be described as a thriving community of young families, blended with established families that have lived in the area for years.
Although the faces have slowly changed to be more diverse culturally, generationally, and economically, the heart of Dallas Bible has not changed and still offers the same warm welcome to those looking for authenticity and a church home in which one can both connect and serve. In recent years, DBC has adopted the motto “Loving All and Helping All Follow Jesus,” and these ideas are lived out well in a church that has a strong reputation for both proclaiming the Gospel and caring for those who come through its doors.
