Position Summary:
Living Waters Church is seeking a passionate, skilled, and Spirit-led individual to serve as our full-time Worship Pastor. This role is pivotal in leading our congregation into meaningful and transformative encounters with God through music and the arts. The Worship Pastor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading all aspects of our worship ministry, working collaboratively with the Executive Pastor and other ministry leaders to create cohesive and impactful Sunday services and special events. The ideal candidate will possess a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong understanding of biblical worship principles, excellent musical and leadership abilities, and a heart for shepherding and discipling worship team members.
Responsibilities:
Worship Leadership & Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the worship ministry that aligns with the overall vision and values of Living Waters Church.
- Plan and lead engaging and Spirit-filled worship services in collaboration with the Executive Pastor, ensuring seamless integration of music, scripture, prayer, and other elements.
- Select and arrange music that is theologically sound, relevant, and engaging for a multi-generational congregation.
- Coordinate the technical aspects of worship services, including sound, lighting, and visual media, working closely with the technical team.
- Develop and manage the annual worship ministry budget.
- Stay current with contemporary worship trends and resources while maintaining a commitment to timeless biblical truths.
- Plan and lead worship for special services, events, and outreach opportunities.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Recruit, audition, train, schedule, and shepherd volunteer musicians and vocalists.
- Build and foster a strong sense of community and spiritual growth within the worship ministry team.
- Provide regular coaching, encouragement, and discipleship to team members, nurturing their musical and spiritual gifts.
- Organize and lead regular rehearsals that are productive, collaborative, and spiritually formative.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and spiritual maturity of the worship team.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the worship ministry team with grace and wisdom.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Executive Pastor in the development of weekly service themes and content.
- Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate worship into various church ministries and events.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with the worship team, church staff, and congregation regarding worship plans and updates.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to the overall leadership of the church.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the church staff.
Pastoral Care & Spiritual Formation:
- Serve as a spiritual leader and role model for the congregation and the worship team.
- Provide pastoral care and support to worship team members and, as needed, to the wider congregation.
- Encourage and facilitate personal spiritual growth within the worship ministry.
- Maintain a consistent and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.
Qualifications:
- A clear and mature Christian faith and a demonstrable commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
- A passion for leading others in authentic and meaningful worship experiences.
- Strong vocal and instrumental skills (proficiency in a primary instrument, such as guitar or keyboard, is highly preferred).
- Experience leading worship in a contemporary church setting.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong theological understanding of worship principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using worship presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter) and audio/visual equipment, as well as software such as Planning Center, Multitracks, Logic, and lighting software.
- A servant heart and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Music, Worship Arts, Theology) is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Agreement with the doctrinal statement and values of Living Waters Church.

Hours: Full-time
