Joshua Methodist Church is Hiring a Bivocational Youth Minister
Joshua Methodist Church is seeking a bivocational Youth Minister who is passionate about sharing the gospel with students and discipling them in their faith. This is a part-time position (5-10 hours per week) with a weekly stipend of $100.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a gospel-centered Sunday night youth program (4:12 Students) that encourages students to know, follow, and share Jesus.
- Teach and disciple students in the Word of God, emphasizing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as the foundation of faith.
- Partner with parents to support and equip them in their role as the primary disciples of their children.
- Encourage students to engage in spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and serving the church and community.
- Occasionally attend students' events to build relationships and provide encouragement.
- Be a committed member of Joshua Methodist Church and an active part of its ministry.
Qualifications:
- A growing faith in Christ marked by an active prayer and devotional life.
- Passion for student ministry and a heart for the gospel.
- Alignment with Wesleyan theology and a theologically conservative stance.
- Strong communication and relational skills, with the ability to connect with students and their families.
- Ability to equip and empower students to live out their faith boldly.
