Joshua Methodist Church is a growing, Spirit-filled congregation in the Global Methodist Church. We believe the Bible is God’s Word, Jesus changes lives, the Holy Spirit is still at work today, and the local church is God’s plan for reaching the world.

We’re passionate about helping people take their next step with Jesus. Every Sunday is an opportunity to create an environment where people can encounter God, hear His Word, and be transformed by His presence.

If that excites you, we’d love to meet you.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Worship Pastor who loves Jesus, loves people, and enjoys leading others into authentic worship.

This isn’t about putting on a concert. It’s about creating space for people to encounter Christ.

You’ll work alongside our Lead Pastor to build worship services that are biblically grounded, Spirit-led, and excellent without becoming performance-driven. You’ll also invest in volunteers, helping them grow both spiritually and musically.

What You’ll Do

Lead worship each Sunday with passion, humility, and excellence.
Plan worship services alongside the Lead Pastor.
Recruit, develop, and pastor volunteer musicians and vocalists.
Lead weekly rehearsals that are organized, encouraging, and fun.
Help cultivate a culture of worship, prayer, and spiritual growth within the worship ministry.
Coordinate with production and media volunteers.
Participate in the life of the church beyond Sunday mornings.

Who You Are

You might be a great fit if you…

Have a growing relationship with Jesus.
Live a life that reflects biblical character.
Love leading people in worship more than performing for them.
Are musically proficient on guitar or piano.
Can lead both modern worship music and timeless hymns.
Enjoy building teams and developing volunteers.
Are dependable, teachable, and easy to work with.
Believe the Holy Spirit is active in the life of the Church today while remaining committed to biblical authority.
Are willing to become an active part of the Joshua Methodist Church family and support the doctrine and mission of the Global Methodist Church.

What We Value

We aren’t looking for perfection.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Christ-centered.
Spirit-filled.
Humble.
Coachable.
Team-oriented.
Dependable.
Passionate about seeing people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Time Commitment

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 8-12 hours per week, including:

Sunday morning worship services
Weekly rehearsal
Worship planning and preparation
Communication with volunteers

Compensation

$300 per week

As our church continues to grow, we hope this position will grow as well.
