Cedar Heights Baptist Church is a small Southern Baptist congregation in a season of prayerful revitalization. We are an established church family with deep roots, recently blessed with new pastoral leadership, and we sense God calling us to become a church that truly reflects our community — a diverse, multi-generational Cedar Hill.

We're seeking a part-time Worship Leader to lead and grow our worship ministry.

The heart of this role: We're looking for a person more than a performer — someone with a genuine walk with Christ, a servant's heart, and real love for people of every age and background. We have a small, faithful group of singers who currently lead worship. The right leader will lead with both vocals and instrument — piano, guitar, or both — alongside these singers, and, over time, help our worship ministry grow.

Our congregation loves the hymns of the faith, and those will always have a home here. We're looking for a leader who can honor that heritage while blending in gospel and soulful worship alongside contemporary songs, so our music grows to reflect the community God has placed us in.

Schedule: Sunday morning service (10:30 AM) and Wednesday evening service (7:00 PM), plus preparation.

Compensation: $1,500/month.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a clear, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and evident spiritual maturity
Leads with both vocals and instrument (piano, guitar, or both)
Will lead and encourage our current singers while growing the worship ministry over time
Blends the traditional and the contemporary — honoring hymns while broadening our sound with gospel and soulful worship
Loves and honors longtime members while genuinely welcoming newcomers of every background
Is patient, dependable, teachable, and committed to serving a church family through a season of growth
Shares our evangelical, Bible-centered faith and can lead in agreement with our beliefs
