Part-Time Children’s Ministry Lead
Church of Living Waters is seeking a dependable, passionate, and spiritually mature Children’s Ministry Lead to oversee and strengthen our ministry to children.
This is a part-time position primarily serving on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for Jesus, a heart for children and families, and the ability to lead volunteers while creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead age-appropriate Bible lessons, worship, prayer, games, and activities.
- Serve each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
- Arrive early to prepare classrooms and remain afterward to ensure all children are safely released.
- Recruit, schedule, train, and encourage children’s ministry volunteers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and Christ-centered environment.
- Follow all church safety, check-in, check-out, and child-protection procedures.
- Communicate regularly with parents, volunteers, and church leadership.
- Help plan special events, holiday programs, Vacation Bible School, and family activities.
- Keep classrooms stocked with necessary curriculum and supplies.
- Help children understand the love of Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates Christian character and integrity.
- Faithful, dependable, organized, and able to work well with others.
- Experience working with children in a church, school, childcare, or ministry setting is preferred.
- Able to teach the Bible in a creative and age-appropriate way.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willing to become an active part of the life and vision of Church of Living Waters.
- Must successfully complete a background check and required child-safety training.
