1. Position Overview
World Compassion is seeking an International Operations Coordinator to support and strengthen our global ministry efforts across multiple countries. This role focuses on communication, coordination, and execution, ensuring our international programs run smoothly, relationships are strengthened, and initiatives move forward with clarity and accountability.
* This position is intentionally flexible and may be shaped into a higher-level role, depending on the candidate’s experience, leadership capacity, and ministry background.
2. Objectives & Outcomes
- Ensure clear, consistent communication between home office and international leaders.
- Strengthen relationships with key partners, pastors, and field teams.
- Improve structure, reporting, and operational flow across international programs.
- Support the successful execution of trips, conferences, and ministry initiatives.
- Assist with development and support scalable systems for global discipleship, leadership training, and outreach.
3. Key Responsibilities
International Coordination & Communication
- Serve as a primary communication link between the home office and international staff.
- Schedule and prepare weekly meetings with global leaders and executive leadership.
- Maintain regular contact with in-country leaders to gather updates, feedback, and insights.
Programs, Projects & Initiatives
- Support and, where appropriate, lead the planning and execution of international ministry initiatives (discipleship, outreaches, Bible distribution, leadership training, humanitarian support).
- Process and evaluate project proposals and intake forms from field teams and partners.
- Assist in developing and managing project budgets, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Support expansion of initiatives such as Bible schools, discipleship programs, and leadership networks.
- Support development and strengthening of leadership networks and discipleship movements in target nations.
- Contribute to and, where appropriate, take ownership of new initiatives from concept through execution.
- Support pastoral engagement, leadership encouragement, and ministry presence with in-country leaders where appropriate.
Online & Global Discipleship Support
- Assist in managing online ministry teams and contributors (content, communication, coordination).
- Support development and distribution of discipleship content through platforms such as the Global Discipleship Library.
Travel & Logistics
- Coordinate international and domestic travel including itineraries, visas, and logistics.
- Support planning and execution of mission trips and leadership visits.
- Assist with on-the-ground coordination as required.
Events & Conferences
- Coordinate and support execution of international leadership conferences and pastor gatherings.
- Coordinate logistics, communication, and follow-up for events.
Reporting & Administration
- Gather and organize reports, updates, and documentation from global teams.
- Maintain accurate records of projects, communications, and key data.
- Support internal systems and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Serve as a flexible, solutions-oriented team member, supporting broader organizational needs as required.
Donor & Partner Engagement (Support Role)
- Participate in donor thank-you calls, offering encouragement, updates, and prayer.
- Build and maintain relationships with international leaders and strategic partners through regular communication and follow-up.
4. Qualifications
- A heart for missions and alignment with World Compassion’s values and faith.
- Strong organizational and administrative capability with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong relational skills with cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Experience in ministry, international work, or nonprofit operations preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and project management tools (Asana or similar).
- Ability to take initiative and operate with both structure and flexibility.
5. Working Conditions & Compliance
- In-office role in Tulsa, OK.
- International travel: 2–4 trips per year (7–12 days per trip).
- Occasional domestic travel.
- Comfortable handling sensitive information from restricted nations.
- Alignment with World Compassion’s mission and values.
- Background check required.
6. Commitment, Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time role (40+ hours/week).
- A three-year commitment is preferred due to training and travel investment.
