Acton Methodist Church, located in Granbury, Texas, has an opening for a pianist. This person will work approximately 5 hours per week to assist the Minister of Music lead the traditional worship service on Sunday. The position requires a balance of musicianship and knowledge of worship leadership. The essential duties include:
- Serving as primary pianist for the traditional worship service, special services, weddings, funerals, and musical events throughout the year,
- Rehearsing with choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists as needed.
- Providing consultation with couples in the selection of service music for all weddings.
- Maintaining a personal repertoire suitable for the worship services of the church.
The qualified candidate will have:
- A degree in Piano
- Three years of Church Pianist experience
- Demonstrated skill in improvisation
- Strong personal depth and spiritual grounding and behavior congruent with our mission, vision, values, and beliefs.Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
