Sunshine School Nursery classes meet Mondays and Thursdays from 9-2.
This job listing is for the 25-26 school year. Teachers will begin work on 1/7/26.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Teaching/childcare experience

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to: lift children up to 40 pounds from the floor to waist high; crouch to a child’s level; sit on the floor; stand tall enough to reach children on play equipment; stand or sit for long periods of time; walk up and down stairs; sit on the floor or in child sized furniture.
· Must be able to clean and maintain equipment and facility.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Nursery floater will asssist teachers in leading a group of up to 6 through circle time, open ended play, lunch, and nap time.
· Children must be monitored at all times and their behavior should be redirected when necessary.
· Communicate daily with parents.
· Professionalism in behavior, attire, communication, etc. Teachers should demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with students and colleagues.
· Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
· Maintain Sunshine School’s exceptional reputation in the community.
