Introduction

Together, the Campus Minister and Associate Campus Minister will help nurture the spiritual, liturgical, and service life of our Ursuline community, while being a joyful presence on campus and beyond.
Overview
Ursuline Academy seeks two individuals to serve as members of the Campus Ministry team. Together, the Campus Minister and Associate Campus Minister will promote the vision, provide direction, and manage the implementation of the overall faith formation initiatives of Ursuline Academy, the Serviam program, and Ursuline’s Community and Inclusion initiatives.
Grounded in the mission of Ursuline Academy, the Campus Ministry team leads programs that nurture the spiritual life of students through service, liturgy, retreats, music ministry, and missionary discipleship.
The specific distribution of responsibilities between the Campus Minister and Associate Campus Minister will be determined after candidates are identified, based on the unique strengths, gifts, and experience of the selected individuals.
Distinctions Between Roles & General Authority
The Campus Minister will report to the Principal.
The Associate Campus Minister, the Community and Inclusion Coordinator, and the Campus Ministry Administrative Assistant will report to the Campus Minister.
Campus Minister (Senior Role):
- Provides overall vision, leadership, and strategic direction for Campus Ministry.
- Supervises the Associate Campus Minister, the Community and Inclusion Coordinator, and the Campus Ministry Administrative Assistant.
- Oversee major liturgical, retreat, service, and music ministry programs in coordination with administration.
- Ensures alignment of Campus Ministry with the mission and charism of Ursuline Academy.
- Provides pastoral support and a joyful presence within the school community.
Associate Campus Minister (Supporting Role):
- Collaborates closely with the Campus Minister to implement programs and initiatives.
- Assists with planning, coordination, and logistics for service, retreats, liturgy, and music ministry.
- Helps mentor student leaders and support peer ministry and music leadership efforts.
- Provides pastoral support and a joyful presence within the school community
Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities, and Activities
Working collaboratively with the Principal, Theology Department, Director of Mission Integration, the Community and Inclusion Coordinator, and at times, the Dean of Students Office, the Campus Ministry team will:
Faith Formation & Pastoral Leadership
- Cultivate a faith-centered community where students encounter Christ and grow as missionary disciples in the spirit of St. Angela Merici.
- Provide spiritual guidance, mentoring, and a visible pastoral presence across campus.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and students to foster an authentic Catholic identity in all areas of school life.
Serviam & Mission Engagement
- Promote and implement the Serviam program, which includes ongoing student service, mission trips (domestic and abroad), and the senior service program.
- Foster partnerships with local and global organizations to establish meaningful service opportunities.
- Model and encourage service that forms compassion, joy, and charity in the spirit of St. Angela.
- Coordinate mission trips that broaden students’ understanding of faith in action and global solidarity.
- Teach the Service-Learning Class.
Liturgical, Sacramental, & Music Ministry
- Plan and implement daily, weekly, and all-school liturgies, as well as Advent and Lenten reconciliation services, and prayer services.
- Coordinate priests, liturgical ministers, and music ministers for all Masses and prayer services.
- Collaborate with student musicians, choir directors, adult musicians, and the Fine Arts Department to plan and lead music for school liturgies, retreats, and weekly Praise and Worship.
- Prepare worship aids, art, and environment for all-school Masses and special celebrations.
- Support ongoing prayer opportunities such as Adoration, the rosary, and seasonal prayer services.
- Ensure the liturgical and musical life of the school reflects reverence, joy, and the Ursuline charism.
Retreats & Spiritual Programming
- Develop, plan, and facilitate retreats for students at all grade levels and for employees.
- Support the formation of student and adult leaders who facilitate retreats and share witness talks.
- Ensure retreat programs invite personal reflection, prayer, and community.
- Coordinate logistics, venues, transportation, and chaperones.
- Plan, in collaboration with others, the programming for Catholic Schools Week.
- Plan and assist the Sophomore Grade Dean with Sophomore Serviam day and Sophomore Serviam activities.
- With the Dean of Students, lead and inspire the Student Mission Team.
- Collaborate with school administrators on the yearly school theme.
Administration & Collaboration
- Assist in developing and maintaining the annual Campus Ministry budget.
- Teach the Peer Ministry class and lead the Peer Ministers.
- Participate in diocesan and professional ministry networks to strengthen campus ministry practices.
- Collaborate as a unified Campus Ministry team, supporting each other’s areas of leadership and focus.
Position Requirements (Both Positions)
- Practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to the mission and charism of Ursuline Academy.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Gospel message.
- A genuine love and devotion to bringing young people and adults closer to Jesus Christ.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field required for both positions;
- Master’s degree required for Campus Minster role and preferred for Associate Campus Minister
- Experience in campus, parish, or youth ministry; leadership experience preferred for the Campus Minister role.
- Musical or liturgical planning experience preferred; ability to collaborate with musicians and choirs is a plus.
- Strong organizational, pastoral, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, inspiring young women in faith and service.
