Missions Ministry Coordinator
The Missions Ministry Coordinator provides organizational leadership, communication support, and logistical oversight for the diverse mission ministries of WC. This role serves as a vital bridge between church staff, lay leaders, community partners, and volunteers, ensuring that all mission-related activities are carried out with excellence and alignment to the church’s vision of service.
Key Responsibilities
· Support and Collaboration with Lay Leaders: Serve as the primary point of contact for 27 mission ministries. Provide administrative and creative support, including printing, ordering supplies, preparing communications, and developing graphics to promote events and initiatives. Partner with ministry leaders to ensure smooth operations and help troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
· Event Planning and Implementation: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of mission-related events such as Super Saturdays and other service initiatives. Oversee logistics, scheduling, and volunteer coordination to create meaningful, well-organized experiences that engage the congregation and community.
· Community and School Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with local schools and other partner organizations. Act as a liaison to ensure effective communication, identify needs, and organize support for specific ministry projects and outreach opportunities.
· Volunteer Engagement: Meet with individuals who express interest in serving, guiding them into mission opportunities that align with their passions and skills. Develop relationships with community organizations interested in partnering with WC’s mission efforts.
· Resource and Donation Management: Oversee the organization and stewardship of mission resources, including food donations, scarf donations, supply donations, Admin office closet and the Mission Closet. Ensure supplies are readily available for ministries while maintaining appropriate use of space and inventory. Collaborate with staff to prioritize mission-related needs.
· Administrative Oversight: Manage and administer Sign Up Genius (SUG) forms and registration systems for mission events. Coordinate registration processes, prepare name tags, and ensure all administrative details are accurate and timely.
· Volunteer Coordination: Assess volunteer needs for mission events and ministries, recruit individuals and leaders as needed and foster a culture of service by encouraging participation across the congregation.
Qualifications & Skills
· Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
· Creative problem-solving and adaptability in supporting diverse ministries.
· Experience in volunteer coordination, event planning, or ministry support preferred.
· A heart for missions, service, and community engagement.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
