Job Title: Worship Director
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Position Status: Part-Time / Full-Time Potential
Purpose
The role of the Worship Director is to direct the planning and development of the music ministry of Capstone Church as well as the planning and development of the worship ministry of the church, and other duties in support of the vision and mission of Capstone Church as provided by the Senior Pastor.
The Worship Director is the leader in his/her area of responsibility and as such is responsible for all music ministries including but not limited to Sunday, Wednesday, Youth, Holiday, and special worship services. The Worship Director is responsible for all musicians, vocalists, music groups, ensembles, instrumentalists, and other music related positions. Capstone Church shall be the primary church of membership and shall be the priority for providing worship services. Any other worship services provided outside of Capstone Church require written approval from the pastoral staff.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Create and direct effective worship services in partnership with the pastoral staff and worship teams.
• Develop programs to assist worship team members in the development of their musical giftings, talents, and skills.
• Foster an atmosphere of true worship through selfless-servant leadership, living above reproach as an example, and purposeful exaltation of Jesus Christ and adoration for Him alone.
• Select and utilize music which brings all glory to God, is spiritually and theologically correct, is not performance oriented or based, and ministers to the church body.
• Develop, direct, and train volunteers for music ministry opportunities.
• Continually evaluate equipment and make fiscally responsible recommendations for future equipment needs.
• Create and maintain an annual budget working within its constraints to the best of your ability.

• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and inventory of all music ministry instruments and equipment.
• Identify, recruit, and train volunteers in all areas of the music ministry to include worship team, sound system, lighting system, livestream, and music media.
• Maintain membership and regular attendance in a Connect Group.
• Attend all church sponsored activities when possible.
• Develop and maintain a music ministry calendar.
• Organize and lead worship team rehearsals.
• Work within the vision of the Senior Pastor and under the structural and spiritual authority of Capstone Church.
• Assist the pastoral staff as directed.
All applicants will need to provide three references including one from a Christian pastor. Once the application is received, applicants will be scheduled for an initial interview. Based on the interview, applicants may be asked to lead a Wednesday night service and possibly a Sunday morning service.
