The Emmanuel Fellowship of Dallas, Texas is seeking a Spirit-filled and skilled musician to serve as Lead Urban Church Musician. This role involves leading worship, supporting the pastor, and equipping the music ministry to glorify God through musical and spiritual excellence

Key Responsibilities

Lead music during weekly worship services (Sundays and midweek).
Accompany praise teams, choirs, and soloists.
Flow with pastors during preaching moments (e.g., modulations, preacher chords, altar calls).
Lead weekly rehearsals and prepare songs for services and special events.
Maintain a high standard of both spiritual and musical excellence.

Qualifications

Proficient in keyboard and/or Hammond organ in a church setting.
Ability to play by ear and also read chord charts or sheet music.
Skilled in urban gospel, contemporary Christian, traditional hymns, and spontaneous worship.
Experience working with choirs or praise teams in a Spirit-led environment.
Excellent sense of timing, transitions, and worship flow in the Black church tradition.
Teachable, dependable, and ministry-minded with a servant’s heart.

Preferred Skills

Ability to mentor and train younger musicians.
Knowledge of music arrangement and song adaptation.
Familiarity with sound systems or digital worship tools (e.g., Ableton, MainStage).
Strong time management and rehearsal planning skills.
Capable of building and scheduling music teams.

Requirements

At least 2–3 years of experience leading worship in a church setting.
A leader with strong initiative, while also being able to follow pastoral leadership faithfully.
Humble, Spirit-led, and able to serve as both a leader and a team player.
Formal music education not required, but church worship experience is essential.
