We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to support classroom instruction and foster a positive learning environment for young children. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education, child development, and working with diverse student populations, including those with special needs. The Assistant Teacher will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum plans, manage classroom activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and behavior management strategies.
Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, safe, and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
Provide individualized attention and support to children with disabilities or special needs, including experience working with autism or other developmental challenges.
Help facilitate activities that promote social-emotional development, communication skills, and early childhood milestones.
Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining cleanliness.
Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management techniques in collaboration with lead teachers.
Support children’s physical needs through toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare routines.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and specialists regarding student progress and needs.
Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or preschool best practices.

Experience

Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or Montessori programs.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education curricula.
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder.
Classroom experience involving lesson planning, curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management.
Familiarity with working with diverse populations including toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and specialists. Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
