Church of the Ascension, a growing Anglican church in historic downtown McKinney, is hiring a warm, dependable Nursery Worker for our Sunday morning childcare team. This is a great part-time role for someone who loves caring for kids and wants steady weekend hours. What You'll Do

Care for children ranging from infants through elementary age during our Sunday service
Help set up and clean up the childcare space each week
Change diapers, help with feeding, lead play and crafts, and comfort children who need it
Read stories, address behavior issues gently, and provide basic first aid as needed
Follow our check-in/check-out system and safeguarding procedures
Sanitize toys and tables at the end of each shift

What You'll Need

Comfortable working with a wide age range, from babies to school-age kids
Able to lift up to 35 lbs and carry children safely
Comfortable using basic tech (iPad, printer)
Must pass a background check and complete online Ministry Defender
Training plus a training call before starting

Schedule & Pay Sundays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM $20/hour, paid bi-weekly This role does not include health insurance, retirement, or paid leave You'll report to our Church Life Coordinator, under the oversight of our lead pastor.
